Tour de Kilkenny cancelled as more local events fall victim to Coronavirus pandemic

The big local event is the second big cycle race to be cancelled in Kilkenny this summer

The Tour de Kilkenny has been cancelled for 2020.

The Marble City Cyclers announced on their Facebook page that to host an event of this nature is not possible with the Covid-19 restrictions.

They say the health and safety of the public is at the forefront of their minds and look forward to next year’s event for the annual fundraiser.

The event which has been going on for over a decade is very popular for cyclists of all strengths and covered from 44km up to 160km routes.
