Ticket sales doing well for Thyestes Day in Gowran Park says manager Eddie Scally

Preparations are underway for the event on the 24th of January

Gowran Park general manager Eddie Scally says that ticket sales are flying for their upcoming Thyestes meeting on Thursday 24th January.

Speaking to KCLR, Eddie says it’s a day that everybody should experience…..

“It’s our biggest day of the year and everything is starting to build-up towards it, we are starting to get very excited for it now, ticket sales are flying, we call it the race that stops the county”

“It’s probably a bit bigger than that now, they are saying it’s the race that stops the region but everything about it this year is really exciting for us”

“It’s going to be televised live on RTE, it’s massive to be kind of held in that regard in Racing here in Kilkenny, it’s brilliant for us and it is our biggest day by a mile and it’s something that everybody should experience”
