The 2017 An Post Rás na mBan gets underway today with a 70.1km road race.

The Springhill Court Hotel is the starting point on the Waterford Road with riders expected to depart around 4.30pm this afternoon heading for Bennettsbridge, Thomastown, Graiguenamanagh, Goresbridge, Paulstown and Gowran.

Over the course of the five days of the race, riders will clock up just under 400km including a pacey 40km criterium road race in Kilkenny city centre on Saturday.

We’ll be live on the Parade this Saturday between 2-6pm for coverage and interviews from Rás na mBan stage 5.
