New faces a welcome addition to Kilkenny Camogie backroom staff says Ann Downey

Anne is heading into her fourth year in charge of the senior team

Kilkenny Senior Camogie manager Ann Downey says that new selector Brian Dowling will bring a whole new dimension to the set-up.

Speaking to KCLR after she was confirmed as senior manager for a fourth consecutive year, Anne says a fresh approach to the backroom room will give the squad a new lease of life.

“New faces and new backroom team, everyone else, Dr. Martin (O’Brien), Dr. Fergus (Heffernan), Nicola Aylward and Noreen Roche, Angela (Downey) and Breda (Holmes) all staying involved in the backroom team so new faces”, says Downey.

“I suppose more old than new, but Brian will certainly bring a new dimension to the whole thing and his drive and his energy and looking forward to working with him.”
