Marble City Hawks coach looking to stay in Super League next year after promotion

Julian O'Keeffe says they will have to step up their game next season

Marble City Hawks Basketball Ladies Coach Julian O’Keeffe says their main aim for next season will be to consolidate their position in the Super League.

Speaking to KCLR after winning promotion on Saturday night, Julian says they will have to step up again just to compete…..

“Like there is no team where we went out and we said ah look this is going to be a walkover”

“There is no such thing in our Division and when we go up to the next step now which is Super League, the girls they know what they have to do as well”

“They will have to step up another little bit. Like our main objective now for next year is to try and stay in the Super League so that’s not going to be easy, but we have a local derbies next year”

“Like we will have Portlaoise, we have Carlow, we have Waterford which is some really exciting games to look forward to”
