Kilkenny’s Ava Coogan selected for the Ireland under 18 women’s squad

Ireland Under 18 women’s team, Tommy O’Mahony, has announced a panel of 23 players

Kilkenny’s Ava Coogan has been selected for the Ireland under 18 womens squad.

Ava who plays with Kilkenny Stars club made history this summer becoming the first girl from the club to win an International Cap.

Just this week she was named the KCLR David Buggy motors Kilkenny Sports Star for August.

Head coach of the 2019/2020 Ireland Under 18 women’s team, Tommy O’Mahony, has announced a panel of 23 players.

Speaking about the announcement, Coach O’Mahony stated: “We are delighted to be back starting work with this set of players on the long road to the European Championships next summer. They understand there is a lot of work to be put in, and can’t wait to get going. There will be some testing times ahead, but I’m sure this group will be up for it and will give it their all in order to make the final 12 next year”.
