Kilkenny Ladies rugby returns with big numbers after pulling out of the league last year

Head Coach Mags Hennessy says they have plenty of numbers to cater for especially with the various age groups

Kilkenny Ladies Rugby Club Head Coach Mags Hennessy is delighted with the response in numbers ahead of the start of the new season.

The Ladies Team had to withdraw last season due to a lack of numbers and speaking to KCLR, Mags says they have plenty of numbers to cater for especially with the various age groups.

She said “We actually had to pull out of the League so we are hoping now to start up again this year and I have set-up a group and I think at the minute there is 28 girls in this group”.

“We have Under-14s, Under-16s and Under-18s and training for those girls will commence now on Wednesday the 21st (August) out in the club and that’s at 7 o’clock”.
