The Cats saw off Kildare at the weekend

Kilkenny have booked themselves a semi final date away to Offaly in the Walsh Cup next Saturday.

The Cats defeated Kildare 3-18 to 0-8 at Freshford in their second game of the season.

A brace of goals from John Walsh and another from Bill Sheehan were the scores that sent them on their way after leading by 0-9 to 0-5 at the break.

The other semi final will see Wexford take on Dublin after wins over Wicklow and Antrim respectively.

Aidan Taggy Fogarty watched yesterdays game for KCLR and said that Kilkenny look in decent shape for this time of year.

Throw in next Saturday is at 2pm in O’Connor Park Tullamore and we will have coverage of the game on KCLR
