Kilkenny down a few numbers ahead of Camogie League opener with Clare

Clare have more training done ahead of the clash

Kilkenny Senior Camogie manager Ann Downey says they don’t have a full panel to pick from ahead of Sunday’s League opener away to Clare.

Speaking to KCLR ahead of Sunday’s League opener, Ann says that Clare will have a major advantage ahead of Sunday’s game.

“Well before Christmas, we met the girls, and asked them did they want to go back doing a bit in November and they didn’t so we said we would give them until after Christmas.

“We are actually back training only a week so we haven’t got a full panel of players to pick from so like every match, of course we will go to Clare and hope that we come out with a win and do the best we can.

“But I know that Clare are back training since October and they have a very well organized set-up this year so we are up against it, but again, it is what it is and we will go with as many of the first seniors that we have and do the best we can,” she said.
