Kilkenny College suffer narrow loss against Newbridge in Leinster Senior Cup Quarter Final

A late Sam Prendergast penalty was all that stood between Newbridge and Kilkenny

Newbridge 10 Kilkenny 8

A late Sam Prendergast penalty was all that stood between Newbridge and Kilkenny in a hectic Leinster Senior Cup quarter-final at Donnybrook on Wednesday.

Despite an incredible try from Kilkenny centre Matthew Hodgins who ran in from 70 metres out to give his side an 8-0 lead, it wasn’t enough for the local school.

Final score 10 – 8
