IT Carlow Basketball Coach Conroy says pre season has gone well in the build up to the new calender

IT Carlow are competing strongly in the Super League

IT Carlow Basketball Head Coach Martin Conroy says pre-season preparations have gone a lot better this season for the Ladies Squad who compete in the Superleague for the 2nd consecutive season.

IT Carlow travel to Dublin to play DCU Mercy in their opening game this season, and speaking to KCLR, Martin says they have strengthened their squad.

“Yeah, it’s a lot better this year now than it was last year, we have a host of new players in.

“A lot of ex Irish Internationals are coming into the group so it’s just a matter of blending them together and hopefully getting it right in our season coming forward.

“The pre-season has been pretty good, we have been working hard, we had a pre-season tournament at the weekend in Carlow where we had 8 of 10 Superleague Teams so we’re kind of getting to where we want to be, this weekend will show how we are doing,” he said.
