Aisling Curtis is baffled by the decision of the Camogie Association to not allow intermediate teams enter the All Ireland championship if a county already has a senior team entered in the competition.
Speaking following the news of Kilkenny’s exclusion from the intermediate camogie championship, Curtis described how the news was tough to take for the entire panel.
‘It’s devastating news for everyone involved’, said intermediate captain Curtis.
‘It ended before it ever really began. We’ve put in as much training as the senior team and now we are treated like a second team’.
Curtis, who also captains her local team Clara, penned an open letter following the decision, expressing how the whole panel felt about missing the opportunity to compete for the All Ireland this year.
