Goffs Thyestes Day in Gowran Park to put female jockeys centre stage

Horse Racing Ireland has launched a series of seven races for lady riders

Female Jockeys will take centre stage at the Goffs Thyestes Day in Gowran Park in less than two weeks time.

Horse Racing Ireland has launched a series of seven races for lady riders, with the overall winner getting a spending spree in Kilkennys Red Mills store.

The next race in the series is the Connolly’s Red Mills Irish EBF Ladies Auction Maiden Hurdle at Gowran Park on Thyestes Chase Day.

Jockey Lisa O Neill told KCLR Sport that it’s a great initiative.
