Germany proceed to Final-land as Finland are finished in Semi Final

Finland still ranked #1 as the happiest country in the world.

Denmark, Russia, Belgium, Iceland and Switzerland. These are the five teams Finland had beaten on their way to the semi final. So forgive me if I , like the rest of the world believed they could go all the way. To be fair I kind of forgot the drubbings Germany handed out to the likes of France, Portugal, Iceland, Turkey and Sweden. Some of those scorelines were vicious.

Finland had a chance to take the lead, a clever dink from Skrabb gave Pukki the opportunity to head the ball into the German net. However a charging Neuer and Ginter managed to throw him off, and the header meekly went wide. This would prove to be a golden opportunity missed to rattle the more powerful side.

It did not take long for the German’s to start flexing their ability. Both Werner and Reus combined to give Germany the lead on the ninth minute. Some silky skill from both players left the Finnish defensive line looking like they were stuck in the mud before Werner slotted the ball into the back of the net. Only nine minutes later Reus had done the same , it wasnt any just mountain Finland would have to climb, this was a mountain they would have to climb b that was on Mars.

Finland tried, they really tried, but people were more in awe of their luck as oppose their attacking prowess as Germany really should of tripling their advantage. Finland had a chance to drag themselves back only for Uronen to completely miss the target, after that it was all Germany. Gnabry scored a beautiful scissors kick before half time , and Germany went down the tunnels knowing their place in the final was secure, Or was it?

Yes it was, they scored two more in the second half, Werner and Gnabry again, the game finished Finland aspirations of reaching the Electrocity European Fifa 20 Championship final. Speaking to KCLR after the game Paul Bergin manager of Finland said “All good things must come to an end. Thanks for running the tournament and writing the articles, ye have done a brilliant job. It gave us something to look forward to during the lockdown”

Im not crying you are.
