Deirdre Tomlinson says it was very special to win the double having coached her School in Bennekerry to win the Cumann Na Mbunscoil Boys Football and the Camogie Championships.

Deirdre was the Cumann Na Mbunscoil Award winner at the 30th Carlow Annual GAA Awards Night at Mount Wolseley Hotel in Tullow last Saturday night, and she says it was an unbelievable to have won the double when she spoke to KCLR after picking up her award.

She said “Yeah absolutely thrilled, I really am now, last year to win the Boys Football was great, I won a couple of girls titles so to win the Boys was special and then to win the double with the Camogie was really unbelievable and I couldn’t believe it”.
