Unless there’s a third dramatic snowfall in as many weeks, Carlow will play Westmeath this Saturday.
O’Moore Park, Portlaoise, twice failed pitch inspections at the weekend and put paid to Carlow’s Division 2A final against Westmeath. As announced at lunchtime today, the sides will meet this Saturday at 3.30pm, at the same venue.

Cats will have to wait
While Carlow play this weekend, Kilkenny look like they won’t be in action for a fortnight. Though the Cats overcame Offaly on Monday afternoon, Galway and Wexford was called off due to snow.
That fixture will now go ahead on this Saturday at Innovate Wexford Park with a 3pm throw-in. The result determines Kilkenny’s semi-final opponents in a game likely to be Easter weekend.
This year’s League Final will now take place on Sunday 8 April.
