Bagenalstown Gaels take a big scalp in the Carlow Senior Football Championship

In the Michael Lyng Motors senior football championship at Netwatch Cullen Park Yesterday evening, Bagenalstown Gaels in their first year playing senior football championship took a big scalp with a one point win over Palatine, the sides were level 1-3 to 0-6 at half time and it finished Bagenalstown Gaels 1-9, Palatine 0-11.

Eire Og held on for a one point victory over Old Leighlin in a very tight encounter finishing on a score line Eire Og 0-11, Old Leighlin 0-10.

St. Patricks had four points to spare over Leighlinbridge in the Junior football championship A’, St. Patricks 1-14, Old Leighlin 0-13.
