No more free dinners now in either hurling or football as it is knockout in all competitions from this weekend.
In the J.J. Kavanagh and Sons senior hurling championship Ballinkillen and Naomh Eoin served up a top class final game in the league section.
Naomh Eoin held a two point lead at half time 0-9 to 0-7. Midway through the last half and Ballinkillen regained the lead with a goal from Craig Wall.
Naomh Eoin fought back with points and at the final whistle were one in the lead
Naomh Eoins Paraic Nolan scored eleven points, and Balinkillen’s Ciaran Whelan scored ten points as it finished Naomh Eoin 0-18, Ballinkillen 1-14.
Where the teams finished on the league table:
Mt. Leinster Rngs 1st on eight points, Naomh Eoin 2nd on five points,
Ballinkillen 3rd on four points, St. Mullins finished in 4th place on 3 points.

The Senior Hurling final is on Sunday October 15th with a lot of hurling to be done still

The Talbot Hotel junior football ‘A’ championship semi-finals are St. Patricks v Ballon; Fenagh v Old Leighlin

The junior football ‘B’ semi-finals are Asca v O’Hanrahans; Eire Og v St. Andrews

The minor football ‘B’ Championship semi-finals are Clonmore v O’Hanrahans; St. Patricks v Mt. Leinster Rngs.
In the Michael Lyng Motors senior football championship two quarter finals are down for decision this evening at Netwatch Cullen Park.
St. Andrews take on Old Leighlin at 6-30 while Tinryland and Eire Og are in action at 8pm.
And of course Palatine and Rathvilly are waiting in the wings for the semi-final draws which will be held seconds after the final whistle goes in the Tinryland v Eire Og game.
