Former Limerick Senior goalkeeper Joe Quaid says that the GAA need to look at the ticket pricing which is turning spectators away from matches.
Speaking to KCLR ahead of Sunday’s Munster Semi-Final clash between Limerick and Clare, Joe says that Sky having exclusive access to Sunday’s game won’t have any impact on the attendance.
“Well look, my attitude to that is they have entered into an agreement with them, they have to stick with it, but you look at the attendances, the attendances of matches are gone way down.
“I remember back when I was playing against Tipp and Clare in a League match, you could have 25,000 at it, you won’t have that at a Championship match probably Sunday so the GAA probably need to look more at the ticket pricing and stuff as opposed to the selling rights to Sky to entice people to go to matches,”
