Danny Mullins says the horse Kilcarry Bridge deserves great credit for avoiding a collision with a loose horse running in the opposite direction in Saturday’s feature race in Killarney.

Kilcarry Bridge won the feature event in Killarney and is now entered at the upcoming Kerry National in Listowel, and speaking to KCLR, Danny says both himself and the horse were on same wavelength.

“The horse underneath me Kilcarry Bridge you have to give him credit as well for everything that a rider can ask a horse. Sometimes the horse doesn’t react as quick as you want underneath you and both of us were in sync in what we wanted to do and how to avoid the other horse because I wouldn’t like to hit him anyway. He has ran well a few days throughout the Summer, he won the Mayo National earlier in the year and still on a competitive handicap mark so hopefully he will get another few pounds which would allow him to get into the Kerry National next week so he might be a lively outsider in that as well,” he said.
