St. Patricks Ballyragget manager Jim Lyng says that Kevin Kelly is extremely doubtful for tomorrow’s All-Ireland Semi-Final clash against Toreen of Mayo.
Kevin played through the pain barrier in the Leinster Final, and speaking to KCLR, Jim says that their main scorer is one of a number of injury concerns.
“Geoff Morrissey obviously suffered a really serious shoulder injury which was necessitated for surgery there on Christmas week, so Geoff is out for the foreseeable future I would imagine.
“Kevin Kelly also suffered quite a nasty knee injury early in that match and really we should have substituted him certainly before half-time, but he played on and he is really troubled by it, so I would rate him very very doubtful for the weekend at this stage.
“Barry Staunton who was missing for most of the Leinster campaign is back and he played last weekend. There is good and bad in it and I suppose having the 4 weeks was a blessing really,” he said.
Throw in tomorrow is now at 2pm in Ennis.
