St. Patricks Ballyragget Intermediate Hurling selector David Buggy was very happy with the scoring return in Saturday’s Leinster Club Championship victory.
Speaking to KCLR after Saturday’s victory, David says an extended run in the Club Championship will shorten the Winter.
“Look, it will make the Winter short if we can progress. We are playing Kilteale from Meath in two weeks time up in Navan. Again, look it’s going to be a hard match, but look we will prepare the very same away as we did all year and look the best team will win it on the day.
“I think our attitude was good from the off, even though we were under pressure, we never panicked and we done things right and obviously scored 0-23 on a day like today, it’s brilliant scoring and I’d say 14, 15 from play and maybe I think Kevin got 5 or 6 from frees, so it’s a good return yeah.
“The lads are delighted, look lads all they want to do is get a run, if they can get a run and win the next day and get into a Leinster Final look and if they do they do and if they don’t look, their goal was to get Senior and they are Senior now and they are going to have a crack at that next year,” he said.
