Carlow Ladies Inter-League Soccer manager Patrick Dowling says that the girls have given serious dedication this year.
Speaking to KCLR ahead of Saturday evening’s Inter-League Final against the Combined Counties, Patrick says it’s a massive commitment for the squad trying to juggle family life as well.
“To tell you the truth there is a big difference between the Women’s and the lads game. There is far more commitment goes into the women’s side of it because some of them have small kids and things and have to arrange babysitters or just to make sure there mothers are available to take them for training because for club training as well during the week there is a massive commitment for them.
“We have had a couple of setbacks with teams pulling out along the way but that wasn’t their fault and they still kept their heads, they kept training and they are getting their rewards for it now.”
