Carlows Senior Hurlers take on Kildare in the Christy Ring Cup Quarter Finals this Saturday in Newbridge.

They got the better of Mayo at the weekend on a scoreline of 5-18 to 2-07.

Carlow manager Colm Bonnar says despite the narrow loss to Antrim in the opening round, the team is determined.

“We can only do whats ahead of us”, says Bonnar, “and we are just one step further now, we’re into a quarter final.”

“So you know its a step up again for us but look we’ve a very strong team, we were without three or four players today (against Mayo), they were unavailable through injury.”

“And other lads stepped in and done the job, so were just delighted with the strength of our panel and with the attitude we have.”

Carlow v Kildare will be live on KCLR and KCLR Fanzone this Saturday at 3pm with thanks to Flynn’s Carlow Nissan, the home of Nissan in Carlow.
