Carlow Inter-League Ladies Soccer manager Patrick Dowling is hoping they will have picked the bones from their 3-3 draw against Cork a few weeks ago.
Speaking to KCLR, Patrick says the group of girls are becoming stronger.
“We had 65 minutes of that game (against Cork) where they were almost perfect, we just didn’t finish the game out and they have learned lessons from it, but sometimes you learn more from in them situations than you will from winning games so I am hoping they will take that on board now and will carry that forward with us.
“The problem I had at the start was really I lost 8 from last years title winning team which is a lot to lose out of any squad, and a lot of the girls that came in were just new to Inter-County Football and they are a lot stronger, they are feeling stronger, they are more confident in themselves so we will see what happens now”
